The Grace Brethren Church of Rittman, Ohio (Bud Olszewski, pastor) conducted a “Community Day of Grace” as an outreach on Saturday, March 24th.
Pastor Bud (shown at left) said, “The day was amazing. We had two major areas of service. The main objectives were to distribute literature about our upcoming Easter Services and to perform acts of service whenever possible.”
Church members distributed free windshield fluid at the church and did door-to-door “Seven Minute Servants” projects.
Pastor Bud said, “I expected the windshield fluid to be huge and prayed that the door-to-door would not be a disaster. The reality was that we had few come for the fluid (our location is very out of the way) and we had wonderful experiences with serving and praying for people in our community. It was a huge success!
He continued, “This is all part of our District’s Moderator, Dave Lawson, emphasis on ‘Call To Greatness,’ with outreach being our main training goal for conference, which will be April 29th at Wooster.
“It was a very good day,” he concluded.
In addition to Pastor Bud, this photo shows Elmer Gable in the hood of the car. Rob Gable (right) is eating a pink chocolate bunny on a stick made by the children being babysat for the day.
