Rob Gable, Rittman, Ohio, has been named the director of the boys’ ministry with Grace Brethren Boys(GBB), a national organization that helps strengthen the local church by providing Biblical leadership, training, and opportunities for men and boys following the pattern in 2 Timothy 2:2.
In the volunteer position, he is responsible for promoting the organization and implementing its programs, enlisting field representatives to aid in district-level promotion of GBB, serving as a liaison between the GBB board of directors and the field representatives, and working closely with the curriculum review committee.
One of his goals is to update the GBB curriculum, which has been in use since the organization was founded in 1974.
He also has a role in promoting the group’s biennial High Adventure, which was held this year on June 24-30 at Sproul State Forest in north central Pennsylvania. He is also planning next year’s Renezvous.
Rob is an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper with the rank of sergeant and currently serves as an assistant commander at the Wooster Post. He and his wife of 10 years, Beverly, have two children, Sydney, 4, and Katelyn, 2. The couple met in the youth group of the Rittman Grace Brethren Church.
