Roy E. Glass, Jr, 89, of Clayton, Ohio, went to see his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in the early morning hours of March 8, 2018. He was born in Juniata, Altoona, Pa, on April 28, 1928, the son of Roy E and Susie M Brumbaugh Glass. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Richard B. Glass.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 69 years, Arlene Sommer Glass. They met at Camp Grace near Front Royal, Va., in 1944. They were married August 27, 1948, in Altoona, Pa. To that union were born seven children: Rick Glass (Deb) of Winona Lake, Ind., Ardith Bonham (Bruce) of Gainesville, Fla., Joy Cornelius (Lee) of Tipp City, Ohio, Roy Glass, III (Carol), of Blacksburg, Va., Lori Zastrow (Greg) of Miamisburg, Ohio, Lisa Brady (Scott) of Myerstown, Pa., and Jon Glass (Annette) of Englewood, Ohio; 23 grandchildren: Mike Glass, Tim Glass, Heather Wade, Heidi Dolbee, Holly Hummitch, April Hollinger, Jessica Pycraft, Amanda Greene, Josh Bonham, Tracy Geaslen, Joel Cornelius, Ryan Cornelius, Roy Glass IV, Adam Glass, Amy Pemberton, Philip Zastrow, Jason Zastrow, Sarah Daffler, Katie Huss, Allison Brady, Drew Brady, Audrey Booher, and Madi Glass. He is also survived by more than 60 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
Pastor Roy shepherded six congregations: Glade Mennonite Church, Accident Md.; Juniata (Pa.) Grace Brethren Church; Minerva (Ohio) Grace Brethren Church; Fairlawn (Va.) Grace Brethren Church, and Troy (Ohio) Grace Brethren Church. He also served as an associate pastor at the Huber Heights (Ohio) Grace Brethren Church and Northwest Chapel in Dublin, Ohio. His second love was radio and he served as an on air announcer at many different stations over the years, retiring from WEEC in Springfield, Ohio, in 2009.

Visitation will be held at Basore Road Grace Brethren Church, 5675 Basore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45415 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday March 11, 2018. The funeral service will be held at the church at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 12, 2018. Burial will be at Brumbaugh Cemetery in Martinsburg, Pa., on Tuesday March 13, 2018.
