Cam Screeton will be the newest assistant for Grace College’s baseball team in 2015-16.
He will served as the Director of Baseball Operations under head coach Bill Barr and will focus heavily on recruiting and the Lancers’ defense.
Screeton is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan and was a dependable member of the Wildcats’ team. He played in 137 games during his career and had a career batting average of .267. Screeton tallied 104 hits, 7 doubles and 4 triples, scoring 58 times, driving in 50 RBIs and stealing 15 bases in the process. His standout season came as a junior in 2014 where he hit .300 for the year.
“Grace has been awesome so far. It has a reputation for having a Christ-centered atmosphere, which I’ve always liked,” Screeton said. “I’m excited to learn from Coach [Bill] Barr and the rest of the staff, and I’m excited to see the players grow spiritually and athletically this year.”
Screeton graduated from IWU in 2015 with a degree in Sport Management. Prior to IWU, Screeton attended Rochester High School, earning All-Conference recognition as a junior and senior. As a sophomore on the basketball team, he helped the Zebras to the state championship game.
