Services for Nancy Peugh will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2016, at the Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, where she and her husband, Roger, were long-time members. Nancy Sue Peugh of Winona Lake, Ind., died on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, Ind., at the age of 74.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County, Ind., for the past 27 years. She was a 1960 graduate of Ellet High School in Akron, Ohio. She attended the University of Akron and was a 1965 graduate of Grace College in Winona Lake, Ind. From 1969-1989, she was in Christian ministry in Germany. Nancy returned to Winona Lake in 1989 where she was an active member of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church. She was deeply involved in teaching English as a new language, had a deep love of music, and was always interested in crafts. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother…and always a woman of prayer.
Nancy was born on June 17, 1942, in Akron, Ohio, to Delbert Orndorf and LaVerna Ellen (Davis) Orndorf. On June 5, 1965, she was married to Roger Dennis Peugh, who survives in Winona Lake, Ind. They shared 51 years of marriage together.
Along with her husband, she will be lovingly remembered by her three sons: Ryan (wife Lynelle) Peugh (Montclair, Va.); Philip (wife Rhonda) Peugh (Warsaw, Ind.); Lamar (wife Dona) Peugh (Taiwan); and daughter: Lynae (husband Alf) Eherenman (Warsaw, Ind.). She leaves behind 14 grandchildren: Isaac, Chapman, Levi, Silas, Solomon, Jedidiah, Asher, Sydney, Erin, Sara, Manasseh, Adeline, Forrest, and Elise. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her granddaughter Isabelle in 2000.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016, from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Ind.
The funeral service celebrating Nancy’s life will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake, Indiana and officiated by Pastor Bruce Barlow and Pastor Kip Cone. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw.
Memorial donations in Nancy’s name may be directed to Grace College and Theological Seminary, 200 Seminary Drive, Winona Lake, Ind. 46590 and would be appreciated by the family.
