Services for former pastor’s wife, Virginia (Ginny) Haller, will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, at the Grace Brethren Church, Middlebranch, Ohio. She died Friday in Indiana. Her obituary appears below.
Virginia K. Haller, age 90, of Mooresville, died on March 25, 2016. She was born June 10, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pa., to Charles and Nova Kiefer.
She spent many years teaching in public and private schools and was a pastor’s wife for 44 years. She was a member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church in Camby, Ind., and Grace Brethren Church in Middlebranch, Ohio. She enjoyed singing.
She graduated with degree in Church Music from Bob Jones University. On December 27, 1946, she married Wesley Haller and served with him in Grace Brethren pastorates in Ankenytown, Ohio, 1951-1954; Middlebranch, Ohio, 1954-1969; Johnstown, Pa., 1969-1976; Lancaster, Pa., 1976-1982; Milroy, Pa., 1982-1983; and Middlebranch, Ohio 1983-1991.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 44 years, Pastor Wesley Haller. Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Sally (Ron) Callahan, John (Pam) Haller and Jim (LeeAnn) Haller, six grandchildren, Lauren Haller, Rachel Haller, Nathaniel Haller, Aaron Haller, Eric Callahan and Kelli (Ed) Roche and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit from 12 – 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Grace Brethren Church in Middlebranch, Ohio. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis.
