Grace Brethren football feels the pain in CIF East Valley Division final
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO >> All week long leading up to the CIF Southern Section East Valley Division final, Grace Brethren tried to save running backs Zikel Reddick and Andre Bannister.
Both sustained ankle injuries in last week’s semifinal victory over St. Anthony, and they were determined to put their best foot forward Saturday night at St. Margaret’s.
But it was clear they were not at full strength.
Grace Brethren battled and tried to elevate its performance for their injured running backs, but suffered a 34-21 loss to St. Margaret’s in a battle of unbeatens on Saturday to complete an otherwise impressive 13-1 campaign.
