Lancer girls’ soccer team will play for CIF title on Saturday
Grace Brethren High’s girls’ soccer team is one win away from hoisting a CIFSouthern Section trophy.
The Lancers face St. Anthony in the Division 7 title game at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at Warren High in Downey.

… Back at Warren High on Saturday at 2:30 p.m., the St. Anthony girls’ soccer team will face a dominant Grace Brethren squad for the Division 7 championship and will have its hands full in this final, even though the Saints have one of the most prolific scorers in the division in sophomore Alexsis Weiser.
The Lancers (22-4-1) have outscored their opponents 94-14 this season and won their semifinal match 8-1. Sophomore Samantha Fisher leads Grace Brethren with 21 goals and 11 assists this season, while 13 other Lancers have also scored goals and five of have scored five goals or more. …
