Pastors, elders, and ministry leaders from across Florida are gathered this week on the shores of Lake Pierce for the annual South Focus Retreat.
Arriving on Monday, March 12, the two days away are looking at “Developing an Apprenticeship Culture.” The sessions are led by Clancy Cruise, executive director of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches and pastor of Marysville Grace, a Charis Fellowship congregation in Marysville, Ohio.
Orrin Witt and Ben Russell from Grace Church, Sebring, Fla., are leading worship.
Monday’s sessions looked at the importance of developing a culture that encourages mentoring for ministry positions. After dinner, the group broke into smaller, multi-generation groups to hear each other’s stories.
The retreat continues through Wednesday, March 14, at the Florida FFA Leadership Training Center, Haines City, Fla.
