South Pasadena Grace Brethren Church finds a way!
A Grace Brethren Church watches from a busy corner in the beautiful town of South Pasadena, California, as their state and town undergo cultural changes.
Chinese and Hispanic populations are growing fast and present a great opportunity for ministry. More than ten years ago, the South Pasadena Grace Brethren Church (Terry Daniels, pastor) made provision for a Chinese Baptist church to meet on Sundays in their building.
Just over a year ago they launched an hispanic church called Communidad Cristiana Betel. Grace Brethren Church begins worship at 9:30. The Chinese Baptist Church worship begins at 11:00 while Grace Brethren Church does Sunday School.
Then at 2:00 Communidad Cristiana Betel, under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Diaz, begins worship until late in the afternoon. Tom Avey, FGBC Coordinator, visited the church on Sunday, May 6 to tell the bigger FGBC picture.
