Pastors and ministry leaders from the western United States are gather this week at The Oaks Camp and Conference Center near Lake Hughes, Calif., for the Southwest Focus Retreat.
One of five regional retreats held for Grace Brethren ministry leaders, the retreat is being led by Clancy Cruise, pastor of the Grace Brethren Church, Marysville, Ohio, and the incoming executive director of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. The two-day retreat is focusing on “Leverage.”
Last night, participants got acquainted when they broke into small groups to share details such as their high school nickname and why, which of Snow White’s Seven Dwarfs are you most like, and other fun information. This morning, the groups reconvened to discuss questions related to vision, leadership, and unity.
The retreat continues through Wednesday morning.
