The Billy Sunday Museum (pictured) in Winona Lake, Indiana, will be the focus for a one-day Billy Sunday Festival to be held the day after Equip05 closes this summer. Here is an explanation and invitation from Bill Firstenberger, curator of the Sunday museum:
Hello Billy Sunday Fans,
Just wanted to drop you a quick note regarding this year’s Billy Sunday event. We moved the date toward the end of summer, Saturday, August 6, and have combined with several Village at Winona merchants to “A Day of Summer Fun” atmosphere along with the Billy Sunday attractions.
Festivities begin at 10am and include throughout the day: vintage base ball, free Sunday home tours guided my “Ma” Sunday herself, barber shop quartet music featuring the Chain Gang, Ice Cream Social sponsored by Sweet Dreams of Winona, Historic Bike tour of Winona Lake featuring the Antique High-Wheel Bicycle Club, Bicycle raffle benefit for the Boys and Girls Club of Kosciusko County, Billy Sunday authors book signing, special one-day displays of Billy Sunday postcards and memorabilia by private collectors, and more….
Please tell friends and anyone you know who may be interested.
Thank you, and we’ll see you August 6.
