Now that the weather’s better, it’s time for a tea party
HARRAH, Wash. — This time it’s really going to be a tea party at Harrah Grace Brethren Church.
Last month, “A Victorian Tea Party” had to be postponed due to bad weather. The annual event has been rescheduled for March 11.
The Mug ’n Muffin women are presenting two sessions of their tea in the church, 3701 Harrah Road in Harrah. The first seating is 9-11 a.m., followed by the second from 2-4 p.m. Food, music, fellowship, a game and entertainment are planned.
Organizers encourage Sunday best or Victorian-style clothes, with hats and gloves encouraged. Jaurene Traub, a music teacher in Wapato whose late husband was a pastor, will be the speaker. Musicians Sue Day, Gisela Pechtel and Donna Ritter, all from Yakima, will perform.
