Barb Wooler, director of crisis response for Encompass World Partners, is working with Jonathan Nasby to organize several teams to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. Here’s her report:
TWO UPDATES ON HURRICANE IDA, LOUISIANA
– We have a team and possibly two deploying to Louisiana.
– We will be serving with Samaritan’s Purse, who will train workers as well as provide free lodging and food for those willing to serve for a week. (Great organizations.)
DATES
– TEAM #1 will deploy October 9-15.
– TEAM #2 will likely deploy October 23-29
If you have a team or workers (even if just one or two) to send along we’d love to have them!

IDA IN PA
As for sending teams to Phoenixville, Pa., our two sources there are handling things locally for now. It is possible that later on (October?) we may have a need for a team there. For now, it’s wait-and-see. We are grateful for those of you who have expressed an interest in serving in Pennsylvania, if there is a need for outside help.
