Dr. John Teevan, executive director of regional initiatives at Grace College, Winona Lake, Ind., set out to discover the reality behind the slogan: “social justice.” In addition to ancient and church teaching, he discovered that economic justice or redistribution is at the core of this politicized topic.
In his new book, Integrated Justice and Equality (Christian’s Library Press: Grand Rapids), he discusses the topics of social justice and income inequality within an economic, philosophic, and biblical framework that leads to an understanding of integrated justice. Chapters cover “The Issue of Justice,” “The Biblical, Philosophical, and Historical Development of Justice,” “Justice and Social Justice Today,” “Economic Welfare and Social Justice,” “Social Justice and Compassion,” and “Conclusions and Applications for Ministry.”
The book is available at The Christian’s Library Press and amazon.com.
