“Here’s an opportunity to take Jesus into another environment as an extension of local church ministry, to be where they are, to be their chaplain and to be like Jesus in the midst of that context,” says Mark Penfold, Chaplain Ministries Endorsor for the Eagle Commission.
The chaplains of the Eagle Commission are called to serve their country and also to share the Good News of Jesus amongst members of the military.
“I had always loved the military but because I felt called to the ministry. I pursued the chaplain candidate program and the Eagle Commission provided me with the opportunity to get endorsed,” says Jim Murray, Army Chaplain.
