The quaint and restored Village at Winona (Winona Lake, Indiana) was teeming with guests and locals on this unseasonably hot October Saturday in celebration of the Village’s annual Fall Festival.
Dr. Gary Meadors, former Grace Seminary professor (at right in photo, playing banjo) was one of the featured performers at the Artist’s Pavilion with his bluegrass group “Deadwood.” Meadors, who is also a BMH Books author, now teaches Greek at Cornerstone University in Michigan.
Another part of the festival is a multi-team Hoosier Huzzah Annual Vintage Base Ball Tournament in which visiting teams and the local group, the Winona Blue Laws, playing by 1860s rules, compete for prizes and the tourney trophy.
