Pastor Mike Jentes of thequest in Columbus has alerted us to a project on which he and the Pickerington church (Keith Minier, pastor) are combining to serve children affected by Hurricane Katrina. Here is the message they are distributing:
In June of 2007, Grace Fellowship went to Louisiana to help rebuild some homes devastated by hurricane Katrina (2005). There’s still a great need for hope in this region.
We met a caring soul named Charles Dillon, a pastor in the St. Bernard Parish in the lower 9th ward. His passion is to rebuild homes to get people moved into more permanent housing and
a sense of community.
We asked what his greatest needs were for the children and his reply was “We need backpacks and school supplies.”
We hope to fill a semi with these essential supplies and deliver them on August 7, 2007
