Three Strands, a newly-formed healthcare-for-Africa mission venture, went live this afternoon with its website. Here is a short explanation — to access the full site, click on http://www.three-strands.org/
In 2008, Russ Woda and Mike Taylor returned to the Central African Republic with an armada of health care providers including doctors, PAs, nurses, support staff, and medical supplies. Medical teams returned in 2010 and 2011 and while those trips were a huge success, and they poured into the lives of hundreds of people, the needs are far too great for ten-day forays into the CAR, leaving behind people in desperate need of medical and surgical care. And so a dream began to form for something bigger. That dream is Three Strands.
Three Strands will build a world-class medical, surgical, and education center known for competent, compassionate, and God-focused practitioners who love and care for the under-served of Africa. And with your help and God’s blessing, the Three Strands brand will be known across the continent of Africa as a symbol of hope.
