‘Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
Just to know, “Thus saith the Lord!”
These words, penned by Louisa M. R. Stead in the early 1880s, have offered hope and comfort to many believers over the past century and a half. When Jaime Palsha, member of Western Reserve Grace Brethren Church in Macedonia, Ohio (Jason Haymaker, lead pastor), faced the death of both her mother and her unborn baby, the words of this hymn played through her mind.
In this testimony video, Jaime shares how the Lord used this hymn to bring her peace, and how He brought healing and unforeseen blessings over the past year. This video was part of Western Reserve’s year-end “Finale” service where members read letters they wrote to God as the reflected on the previous year.
