So while I still have the opportunity, I want to take a few minutes to summarize in writing the values and life lessons I have attempted to live out before you and most want to pass on to you…
First I want to express my thanks to God for the gift He has given me in you. You are a son, a brother, a fellow partaker in the glory of Christ and I am immensely blessed by the relationship God has given us in our journey of faith together.
My prayer for you is that in everything you do, say, and even think, that you are living in intimacy with your heavenly Father, the giver and sustainer of your life. As you revel in God’s love for you, may you fervently pursue Him, and in your walk of faith be filled with the knowledge of His will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Seek to walk in a manner worthy of one who belongs to the Lord, bearing fruit through the gift of His Spirit that lives within you. Hold dear the promise of God to complete the work He began in you to make you like Christ.
Remain faithful in your commitment to love others…even or especially when they are unloving toward you. Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
I continue to pursue a love for God and others entrusting to you this same emphasis to fulfill God’s call on your life, knowing that in doing these things you will receive a full reward.
