Letter to Timothy
So while I still have the opportunity, I want to take a few minutes to summarize in writing the values and life lessons I have attempted to live out before you and most want to pass on to you…
Follow after Christ as hard as you can. Surround yourself with people who are keeping up with your pace. Work with them to pull others along that are trying to keep up. Know that you will fall sometimes but that those who are around you are there to pick you up. Be there to pick them up when they falter.
Live a life beyond reproach. Allow your love and care for others to dictate what people have to say about you. Make sure that you are the example you want others to see. Be aware of who you are when you think no one is watching.
Make goals for yourself spiritually and personally and make sure that you are striving to attain those goals. Be confident that The Lord will be with you to the completion of those goals. Be disappointed when you miss a goal but let it drive you to achieve something even greater.
Make the time to seek The Lord for yourself and let him speak to you. Make yourself available to those that need you. Listen first and then speak. Sometimes pray before you pray. When there is a request given, pray immediately. Continue to pray and follow up to hear the answers to your petitions of The Lord.
Be a man like Christ, wanting no reward or accolade for your service. Imitate him, being subject to his example. Commit your ministry to the eternal. Impact the world for the sake of Christ and not your sake alone.
All in all, do whatever God calls you to do. Behave in a manner befitting your eternal crown in glory. Never give up. Lead others to follow Christ and teach them to lead others that the kingdom will forever be triumphant.
IN HIS STEPS,
MIKE WORKMAN
