My son in Christ, may God’s abounding love flow over you every day. When I think of how marvelous He is and how undeserved I am of His love, grace and mercy I am overwhelmed and extremely thankful that I have the opportunity to give my life back for His service.
Guard your heart to be always thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ for all He has done for you. Regardless of any and all peer pressure, government restraint, and cultural hostilities stand firm in your faith, preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ with love to all you meet.
Do not be ashamed of the message that gives you eternal life, a time with no end in which we will know God and praise Him. The Holy Spirit that we have will give us the strength in the face of all adversity, call on Him, depend on Him and follow my example in teaching and training others in the Scripture.
Our world has changed in my lifetime and the basic acceptance of Christian values, right and wrong from Scriptural concepts, is not commonly accepted. Hold to the basic gospel that the Apostle Paul shared in 1 Cor. 15:1-4, preach and teach it but be creative to be able to communicate and relate it to the world around you. Do not become discouraged; share the gospel in a winsome way, one that is of pure motive, not quarreling.
As I did with you, take someone under your wing, mentor them to doing the work of God and inspire them to do the same so more and more people become disciples of Christ.
Christ gave His all for us, let us give our all for Him, and present yourself to Him for His glory.
Remember your foundation is the Holy Scriptures, not the whim of man or a given emotion, study this foundation (2 Tim. 16-17), everything is there for learning how to be more like Christ no matter how the world changes around us
Be a model for all that you minister to, loving, shepherding and teaching while challenging them to do the same. Spend much time in prayer and seek to fellowship with others of a like mind to be encouraged and fortified.
I pray for you often, please do the same for me as my time here is waning and I look forward to my time with our Lord.
