…So while I still have the opportunity, I want to take a few minutes to summarize in writing the values and life lessons I have attempted to live out before you and most want to pass on to you……
First and foremost I just want to take time and say how thankful and blessed that I am by GOD to be able to write these words to you. I am a young man who by human standards should not be here today but by the GRACE of GOD I was spared my life from suicide and given the chance to rise above adversities in my life to be able to be a strong leader to children and youth of today. This letter means so much to me because my name is Timothy and I want to write to my young Timothy today and tell you the life lessons and values that I pray you will learn and continue to carry on.
First, I have learned in my life that when this world and people of it tell you that you ARE NOTHING; please do not believe this lie. I feel that we need to start by telling you that in Christ you are a somebody and Ephesians 2:10 says:
Ephesians 2:10
10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
The words are clear and if you do not share these with those who are lost and who are feeling unlovable then we cannot start to lead until we believe and live this verse. I want you to know that the word of GOD is your road map and when you need the direction you need to find the key and follow it with your life.
Secondly, I want to leave the legacy behind to fill the GREAT COMMISSION and lead them with the sound doctrine of the Word and do not steer away from that. As Christians this should be a passion of ours. We need to lead others and equip and train them to go on the mission field whether it is out our back doors, in the USA or abroad, we need to recognize that we have what it takes through the Holy Spirit to win others to Christ and help them to not miss their eternity in heaven. We are as Christians to be known by our love and by going and being the hands and feet of Jesus to the lost is a wonderful map to start and the Key verse to this is:
Matthew 28:19-20
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
I want others to follow my leading in equipping others to go out and keep the message of FAITH IN JESUS, BEING SAVED BY GRACE and ALWAYS making people aware that JESUS will NEVER leave any of us nor FORSAKE any of us.
Third, I just want to let you know that there will be days and seasons of life that we will struggle and feel down casted and wanting to give up and I have two verses that I use to help myself and others through and there are so many Key verses but these (2) are a great start to pray and follow in your walk:
Isaiah 43:1-3
But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you.
O Israel, the one who formed you says,
“Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
For I am the Lord, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.
Isaiah 41:10
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
Lastly, I want to leave you with the legacy to NEVER EVER GIVE UP and no matter what you are called to do you need to RUN the race and KNOW that you will always give 100% to having FAITH and TRUST in your Lord and KNOW that HE has a plan for you. So NEVER GIVE UP, RUN THE RACE BEFORE YOU AND KNOW YOU HAVE A HOPE AND A FUTURE. I leave you with these (2) verses to pray over yourself as you carry on the Legacy I leave you behind:
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.
In closing, I pray that as 1 Corinthians 13 says: FAITH, HOPE and LOVE but the GREATEST of these is Love. I want you to continue to LOVE people unconditionally and show them and equip them with the story of JESUS and HIS GRACE and disciple others to come to know JESUS, Always remember that when others try to tear us apart and rip us down we need to remember the words of ROMANS 8:31: “If GOD is for us, Who can be against us?” Keep pressing on and train others to follow your legacy. I love you and wish you the endurance and strength and encouragement that you need as you go on in ministry.
FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT
