I thank God for your sincere faith in action based on your confidence in what you have heard and seen in others. Let your life reflect Jesus command to teach others the truth as you go into the world. Live your life by loving God and loving others. May the fruit of the Spirit in you be evident in your life.
As you daily remember the Great gift of God to you, eternal life, fan the flame in others by spending time with them, being humble and an encouragement to them.
Encourage others to join you in your ministry travels and to use whatever means are available to spread the Gospel message. Never stray from preaching the word of God and using the truth of scripture to also correct, rebuke and encourage others.
Safeguard the truth through the power of the Holy Spirit in you. Remember that Jesus told Pilate that the reason He was born and came into the world was to testify to the truth.
Be willing to be held accountable just as you hold others accountable. Pray that the Holy Spirit will call reliable men to join with you, and that you will have discernment as to who to entrust the Word of God.
Keep your message simple. Because God loves us He sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins, that He was buried, and rose again according to the scriptures.
Do not get caught up in endless debates about things that are of lesser or no importance. Gently correct in love. The only antidote is the Word of God. Recognize that non-believers do not understand God’s truth because it is spiritually discerned. Instead focus on the central truth and message of God’s love.
Be willing to use a variety of methods to reach the lost. Be flexible, willing to change how you convey the message, but not it’s content.
Seek those characteristics that you learned – to be a servant, putting others first; to rely on the full council of God from His Word and through His people; and put God’s truths into action daily.
And finally, be prepared to preach the Word at any moment. May you continually seek God’s plan for your life.
In His love and grace,
Tony Follett
