This prayer request just in from Tom Avey’s office:
Pray for Tom Julien, who was admitted to Lutheran Hospital in Ft Wayne with chest pains.
Doctors completed a heart catheterization today and Tom is awaiting results. Tom Julien is the former Executive Director of Grace Brethren International Missions. Tom and His wife Doris live in Warsaw, IN.
Update as of 9 p.m. Thursday:
They found three blockages in Tom’s heart. But, the doctor told him they can’t be remedied through stents or through bypass. Instead, they are to treat him with medicine and with exercise. The doctor does not want him to go with his family to Hocking Hills next week for vacation.
They are to see Dr. Kamiskas on Friday at Lutheran Hospital and Tom is to be able to come home on Saturday. Please pray for Tom, Doris, and the family — it will be great disappointment for him to miss this annual family event.
Just wanted you to know that betty Lou and I are praying for you and your recovery. I understand what you might be feeling. I am dealing with three stents, two by-passes and an aortic valve replacement with two blockages still and yet I am feeling quite well considering, so hang in there. God isn't finished with either of us yet.
Praying and trusting in God's ever present grace to abide with you in this time of need.We at York GBC love you and your's and are pulling for you.
