“The sale of the property and contents of the Udell, Iowa, Grace Brethren Church may signal the end of a church congregation in Udell, but its legacy will continue for years to come,” says Randy Todd, moderator of the Iowa-Midlands District of Grace Brethren Churches.
“In addition to more than 100 years of ministry to the community of Udell, the Grace Brethren Church will live on by providing funds used to establish new Grace Brethren Churches within the Iowa Midlands District.”
He noted there are several projects of new church development underway including the Twin Cities Church in Minneapolis, Minn., and the Court Avenue Project in Des Moines, Iowa.
“All funds raised by closing Grace Brethren Churches within the Iowa Midlands District are given to support the Iowa Midlands District Missions Fund for the continuation of the gospel in new church development,” he said. “We thank the members of Udell Grace Brethren for their contribution and continuing witness.”
