Here is an update on the recent colon cancer surgery on Cheryl Kaufman, former GBIM missionary and now staff member at the Worthington, Ohio, Grace Brethren Church. (See blogpost of May 8 and 18.)
Rejoice again with me as I saw the oncologist June 1 and he confirmed that there is no further treatment for the stage of cancer I had! Because of no further growth for this stage that I had, there is no need. He indicated that any future follow up visits can be done by my surgeon. The surgeon wants me to check in with him about every three months this next year. I was recently reminded of one of my favorite songs that we would sing at BNYC, “I got so much to be thankful for.” I trust those of you who know this song, can sing many, many verses to that song! Thanks again so much for your willingness to draw near unto God on my behalf. Little by little, I’m gaining more strength and eating a little more each day. I’m doing some work that I brought home that can be done there and trust that one of these days soon I might be “back in the saddle” fully. My thanks again to all of you who prayed and shared with others to pray and testified of God’s goodness in the meantime to others who are skeptic of our belief in our Lord’s power, honor, and glory!
