Jesús Muñoz, director of ethnic ministries for the southeast U.S. for Encompass World Partners, recently participated in the dedication of the new building at Iglesia La Esperanza, the Hispanic Grace Brethren church he planted in Valrico, Fla. (Javier Forero now pastors the church.) He shared this news about the young church in his prayer letter this week:
On November 2nd, 2012, Iglesia La Esperanza had the grand opening service for the new building facilities. God blessed all of us and the local church with the dedication service. Pastor Javier Forero and Jesus Munoz gave words to the congregation saying, “We would like to thank all of you for your prayers, offerings and your work on this building to make this day, a dream come true, to God be the glory”. This day will be a memorable one thrrough generations and to see new believers worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ at Iglesia La Esperanza, Valrico, Fla.
On November 4, 2012 after the Sunday service, Iglesia La Esperanza had a baptism service where 15 people were baptized. We had many great testimonies praising God for their spiritual growth, one of whom was Humberto Briones, Jr. who gave his testimony of faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He said, “Coming to this Church and accepting Jesus as my Savior has changed my life and my family’s lives.” Pastor Javier Forero mentioned that as of today, more than 700 people have made a profession of faith since the church was started 7 years ago.
