The May/June issue of Veritas, the discipleship journal produced by Grace Polaris, a Grace Brethren congregation on the north side of Columbus, Ohio (Mike Yoder, senior pastor), has been released. This issue focuses on Joseph’s Assurance. The introduction reads:
Assurance, look the definition up in the dictionary and you will find the phrase, “freedom from doubt.” It is amazing to contemplate this definition when looking at the Old Testament character of Joseph.
Probably most well-known for being given the “coat of many colors” by his father, Joseph’s life took a drastic turn that he could neither predict nor prepare for. How did he respond? Scripture is clear that Joseph remained faithful to the Lord through his many sufferings and despite much pain. What was the reason for this? Well, that’s the focus of this edition of Veritas.
Among the stories are: Why Should I Have to Suffer? I’m a Christian?; Faith When My Job Stinks!; The Role Pain Plays in Our Lives; and more. The publication is produced by the counseling and discipleship staff at the church. For information on how to subscribe, click here.
