Last week finally came!
What I mean is Cathy and I have been waiting for last week to come since the car accident in February. Last week was the first week since the car accident that I have felt close to the proverbial ‘ok’ or well, maybe closer to my new normal. In combining with the accident and the broken left hand with nerve damage issues etc., I was moving toward feeling better and was ‘blessed’ with a kidney stone, a big one … Then minor irritation like bronchitis but finally last week was good. I am more than ready for my new ‘normal’ to come. My left hand is not yet whole, I am still dealing with numbness and nerve pain, but it all continues onward.
In the midst of all this, God continues His work in our network around the world. I thank you for the prayer and the financial support – much continues to move ahead with many exciting next steps under way.
Cap City, Columbus Ohio: Pastor Eric shared with me last week on our coaching call that in the last 3 months, Cap City has met over 100 new people!
Please let that sink in.
To be clear, I am not saying there are 100 new people attending Cap City.
What Pastor Eric is doing is building a gathering culture. In a gathering culture, gatherers gather to anything the church does and to their own ‘things’ they desire to do to meet people and help them on their walk toward the cross.
What has happened is as this culture continues to grow and expand, Cap City is privileged to meet people they did not know.
I ask you to pray two things: 1. That this gathering culture continue to grow; 2. That some of the 100 new people met do walk toward the cross of Jesus Christ and meet Him!
Ensenada, Mexico: We are looking forward to Equipo Internationale which meets over Labor Day weekend. Our team in Mexico led by both Jon (in the North) and Mariano (in the South) are seeing God do amazing things both in the new churches started category as well as salvation stories etc.
We are looking forward to fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters, walking through some second level GSE ideas and just having a great time together.
Please pray as we join together to further Jesus’ Kingdom.
Florida Team: In the Charis Fellowship, our Florida Team is moving forward in a second-year walking GSE ideas into their region.
Our focus in our second year is to:
- Release Gatherers into their domain and let them do their work for Jesus Christ.
- Start new churches.
- Have the Koa Network, a new network working with Vision USA, become the vehicle to engage the new things God is doing and has been doing.
- Keep the clear evidence of His work before us all.
Please pray for these next steps.
