“We want our church to really mobilize for mission,” says Desir Nonhomme, the pastor of Mispa Missionary Community Church, a Charis Fellowship congregation in Miami, Fla.
Mispa is one of six Charis Fellowship churches which minister to many of the half of million Haitians who reside in South Florida. They hope to plant one church per year during the next five years.
“Our goal is to evangelize to our community and also to plant churches,” says Luc Nonorme, another pastor at Mispa, “wherever Jesus sends us.”
“Whether we have brothers in Ohio or Iowa or anywhere; Africa or in Haiti. We are one in Christ,” says Desir.
