Lead pastor Bruce Barlow (left, in tan coat) led a brief groundbreaking service at 10:45 a.m. this Sunday morning, December 5, for the Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church’s remodeling and expansion program for ‘The Hub’ youth center. On hand to participate in the groundbreaking and prayers were representatives of the youth group, parents of teens, building committee, and youth staff.
The Winona Lake (IN) Grace Brethren Church (Bruce Barlow, lead pastor) broke ground this Sunday morning, December 5, for a million-dollar project to remodel and enlarge the church’s youth facility, to be known as The Hub.
The project includes the complete remodeling and expansion of the auditorium facility for the former Winona School of Professional Photography, as well as adding on three rooms to be used for community outreach and other activities. Primary users of the facility will be the junior and senior high youth, The Living Room alternative Sunday morning worship service, and Grace College students.
Tim Wright is WLGBC’s youth pastor, and Nick Deck works with the junior high and college-age students. The project is being funded by a small loan from the Grace Brethren Investment Foundation and a three-year pledge drive from the congregation.
