The second of two Women of Grace USA GO teams has completed its ministry in the Central African Republic and is returning home. (pictured, team leader Miriam Pacheco, with African child)
The two teams worked for a month with the Project Hope and Charite orphan’s ministry. GBIM board member Miriam Pacheco stayed the entire month, helping to lead both teams.
GBIM missionary Barb Wooler returned with the first team after two weeks, and Ginger Hock accompanied the second team.
One of the team members, in reflecting on the experience, wrote, “My heart aches for the children here in the CAR. To know that the majority of them will never have the opportunities that I have had breaks my heart. However, at the same time I am filled with joy because I have been able to see how those that appear to have so little in reality have so much. The kids are overflowing with love, warmth, acceptance, and thankfulness in a way that I have never seen before.
”I loved working with these kids and watching the smiles on their faces. The love that they give is overwhelming and this has truly been an experience that I will never forget.”
