June 23, 2020 –Why We Need Theology
When life hits us hard, our theology (what we believe about who God is) will greatly affect how we handle our adversities. This online encounter will explore benefits of knowing what we believe, as well as ideas for developing a healthy understanding of what God is up to in the story of humanity. Facilitated by Viki Rife, Executive Director of Women of Grace USA.
Register in advance.
June 30, 2020 –Acknowledging Our Pain Biblically
What does it look like to lament over the sin of a nation? Many of us are not very familiar with what it means to sit in and with our grief; can that even be holy? Still more of us have grown up in an individualized culture, and the idea of corporate confession and repentance is foreign to us. During our time together, we are going to explore both of these concepts in light of Scripture. We will be seeking to understand what God wants from his followers, and then we will take some time to reflect and practice some of what we learn together. Facilitated by Emily Tellez, serving with her husband as a church planter in Atlanta, Georgia.
