An upcoming Easter-related event, the annual Helicopter Egg Drop, at Grace Church, Wooster, Ohio (Nick Cleveland, pastor), was featured in the Wooster Daily Record yesterday. A portion of the story appears below. Click here to read the complete article.
Good odds for eggs: 2,500 children expected to go after 100,000 treats at Grace Church hunt
Twenty-five hundred kids and 100,000 plastic Easter eggs.
“That’s good math,” said Wooster Grace Church communications director Rachel Snyder.
It appears the odds will be in favor of children — ages 2 through 10 — who visit the church Saturday, March 24, for the annual Helicopter Egg Drop. The event begins at 11 a.m. at the church at 4599 Burbank Road, though parking teams will be on hand an hour earlier to make sure vehicles are organized to move quickly to their parking places.
“We just want to do an event that serves our community,” said Grace students director Billy Starkey, “and let them, the community, know that our church loves them and that God loves them.”
It is the fourth year for the event, which includes a variety of other family activities — face painting, coloring, music and dancing — and lots of free Lerch’s doughnuts and other refreshments.
