As believers we are called to do everything to the glory of God, including how we communicate. As church communicators, how do we do that to the best of our ability? The relationship between our headings, copy, and design elements plays a big role in a piece’s effectiveness. When we are communicating messages that carry Gospel impact, effectiveness is essential.
This month Tyler Mitchell, former communications director at Grace Polaris Church in Westerville, Ohio, and current creative director at a creative content agency, will share at the Writer’s Workshop about good design and why it’s important. You’ll also have an opportunity to try your hand at designing a communications piece for maximum impact based on these principles.
The Writer’s Workshop is Thursday, March 3, at 7:00 p.m. EST on Zoom. The workshop is offered in conjunction with Charis Women and is open to any in the Charis Fellowship who are interested in developing their writing skills, specifically as it relates to church communications.
