Mike Yoder, who has served with Grace Brethren International Missions in Germany and is currently completing his doctoral studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School near Chicago, has received a call to become the lead pastor at the Grace Brethren Church in Columbus (Worthington), Ohio.
Yoder has accepted the call and his acceptance letter said, in part, “We gladly accept this invitation and look forward to the ministry among you which the Lord is preparing for us. It will be an honor to build upon the good work of others, and especially to courageously pursue the opportunities which lie ahead.
“We anticipate joining you in Columbus later this summer and beginning a new phase of ministry at Grace Polaris. Thank you for your prayers in the coming transition.”
Yoder succeeds Dr. David Plaster, who led the Columbus church from 2007 until 2010 when he died suddenly of a rare illness.
